Thank you to everyone who came to the public meeting in Whiston yesterday to tell me about their experiences of the out-of-control dangerous driving in our area. In light of the residents’ numerous concerns, I’ve written to the Chief Constable, the police, and the Police and Crime Commissioner to demand action from South Yorkshire Police.
I will keep going – and not take ‘no’ for an answer.
I will also be sending them, separately, other specific concerns that have been raised and be seeking for methods by which these cars can be reported quickly – as many yesterday complained about the lengthy process that currently exists.
I thank the Ward councillors for attending – and answering many questions. They work hard for our area, and I know they are raising these issues too.
If you or any other residents have concerns about local road safety then please do email me
