It was a pleasure to meet with Thurcroft Junior Academy‘s school council. We discussed what it means to be a school councillor, how it links to democracy and how we can debate with kindness and respect.

Their Eco Warriors were in attendance and raised the importance of walking to school and recycling. I was impressed to learn that the school has the third highest rate of walking to school in the local authority!

Well done to all of you on your election to the school council, you should all be proud of yourselves.
