This week is Nuclear Week in Parliament.

Did you know that the civil nuclear industry employs nearly 80,000 people across the UK? The industry provides skilled, well-paid work and transformational opportunities to young people in every part of the country.

This includes one of my constituents, Renee, and her colleague Harley, who I met at the nuclear industry’s Skills and Apprenticeship fair in Parliament. It was fascinating to hear about how Sheffield Forgemasters is supporting apprentices like Renee and Harley in the nuclear industry.
