It was wonderful to commemorate VE Day alongside Cllr Amanda Clarke, Dinnington Labour at the memorial service in Dinnington and at the VE event in Laughton-en-le-Morthen.

The service in Dinnington was very poignant, as we reflected on the sacrifices made my all those who gave their lives to secure our freedoms in Europe.

In Laughton-en-le-Morthen, the Maltby Miner’s Welfare Band were fantastic and the pie and peas were delicious. It really was special to see towns and villages across Rother Valley come together yesterday
