For four decades, ex-miners have been campaigning for truth and justice following the shocking events during the miners’ strike on 18th June 1984 at Orgreave.

The shameful events of 41 years ago have caused decades of damage and hurt to our community. I am proud that a Labour government has committed to uncovering the truth of the ‘Battle of Orgreave’ after years of Tory failure and inaction. Ex-miners, their families and campaigners deserve answers.

Truth and justice must be delivered.
