I was pleased to meet with Harthill Active Travel, along with Olympic cyclist Ed Clancy, Nicola Marshall from SYMCA and Cllr Marnie Havard.

The Active Travel plans are exciting and something I believe will create a healthier and more sustainable community. Benefits include reduced car journeys, safer walking and cycling routes for school children getting to and from Wales High School and improved safety along Woodall Lane for residents walking between Harthill and Woodall.

I would like to thank Ruth Sutherland for the work she has done in moving this project forward.

Friday’s meeting was an exciting and positive step forward to making these plans a reality between Harthill, Woodall, Wales and Kiveton.
