Swallownest Primary School Visit

Stanley, who is in Year 6 at Swallownest Primary School, wrote to me to tell me about the fantastic work the Eco-Council do at his school and to ask me about what the government is doing to slow down climate change. It was brilliant to meet Stanley, who is a proud Eco-Councillor and very passionate about preventing climate change.

Following Stanley’s letter, I was thrilled to accept the invitation to come and meet him and to take a tour of Swallownest Primary School yesterday. I really enjoyed speaking to the whole school about the role of an MP, the Houses of Parliament and the type of work I get up to in Rother Valley. We also discussed some of the actions the government is taking to deal with climate change and followed with a Q&A, where the pupils asked some amazing questions about being an MP. All of the students were very polite and a credit to themselves.

Thank you for having me and keep up the good work
