It was lovely to be out in the sun in Whiston last week, hosting a street surgery for residents.

A few residents asked me about progressions to the development of the Flood Alleviation Scheme, I am hopeful that work will begin on this in the coming months, once non-residential land has been acquired. Tomorrow, Rotherham Council’s cabinet will vote to approve the land acquisition.

This project is vital in order to protect the community, residents and businesses from the impacts of flooding in the future.
