80th Anniversary of VJ Day

Today, on the 80th anniversary of VJ Day, we honour the courage and sacrifice of those who served across the Far East.

Their bravery secured peace for generations to come, and their legacy lives on in the freedoms we enjoy today.

This morning, I joined the service in Dinnington and laid a wreath to remember all those that served.

Following the service to commemorate the 80th anniversary of VJ Day in Dinnington, I headed over to Maltby to pay my respects at the war memorial.
