National Tremor Foundation

This week in Parliament, I was proud to host the National Tremor Foundation. The reception aimed to raise awareness of essential tremors among parliamentarians and to discuss the need for fairer, faster access to treatment.

An essential tremor is considered to be one of the most common neurological movement disorders and is estimated to be eight to 10 times more prevalent than Parkinson’s disease. It affects over one million people in the UK.

The Chair of the Board of Trustees is Kitty Reilly, a constituent from Maltby. Kitty does incredible work to shine a light on this often-overlooked condition.
