Following an email to Rotherham Council regarding this issue, I am pleased to provide the following update:

The flood was initially caused by a failure at the pumping station. A new pump has now been installed which has been operational since the 19th of December, reducing water levels.

A full review of the underpass condition and the pumping station will be carried out in January, identifying measures to prevent similar issues from occurring in the future.
