This year Baby Loss Awareness Week will take place between Wednesday 9th October and Tuesday 15th October. Baby Loss Awareness Week, now in its 22nd year, helps to unite the pregnancy and baby loss community, who come together and speak out across the week to increase understanding of the impact of loss and remember all babies.
The week also provides an opportunity to raise awareness of the impact of pregnancy and baby loss; the importance that bereavement support plays in the ongoing bereavement journey; and of the vital work that is needed to improve pregnancy outcomes and to save babies’ lives. Sadly, 1 in 2 people are affected by baby loss.
On Saturday 12th October, Rotherham Hospital Chapel will be hosting a Baby Memorial Service from 10:30am to 11:30am. If there are any other Baby Loss Awareness Week events going on in the local community, please advertise them in the comments.
You can light a candle on Tuesday 15th October at 7pm to remember all those babies that have been lost too soon #WaveOfLight.
