On Friday I was thrilled to be given a tour of the beautiful Roche Abbey by Nial Motion and met with Sue Dalton, who both manage the site and are from English Heritage. It was fascinating to learn about the history of the Abbey and the importance of the site to the local community and further afield – they had visitors from the USA last year! You can visit Roche Abbey Wednesday to Sunday from 10am to 5pm.

We discussed the future of Roche Abbey and how best to preserve historic sites for future generations. English Heritage are currently running the ‘Million and More Appeal’ to fundraise to protect and preserve their sites for future generations to come.
