It was great to visit the Dinnington Delivery Office on Friday, and speak to the managers and some of the posties there.
They are very aware of the problems that many have experienced, and shared with me. There are two explanations. Firstly, they have changed their systems in recent weeks which will hopefully lead to efficiencies and making the service better, but in the short term led to some issues. Secondly, they are also recruiting for more staff to help out.
I was very impressed with their new design and they said they were always willing to pick up the phone if constituents had an issue – so please do keep me informed as to your service.
I’ll be going back during Christmas busy period to help out(!), but in mean time please do keep in touch on this issue and working with the Royal Mail we can deliver a better service for everyone.
