Brilliant to celebrate Rotherham United’s victory – League One Community Club of the Year, at the EFL awards last night.

The Millers do such brilliant work across the community – in particular encouraging girls and women’s football. I’ve organised some follow up meetings to see how we can work together to help with my men’s mental health campaign too.

It hasn’t been the best year on the pitch, but off it Rotherham United always do brilliantly!

The pupils were wonderful and asked some brilliant questions about my role as an MP. They even sat in the public gallery and watched the Prime Minister in the House of Commons!

]]> 1589 Constituents at Downing Street https://jakerichards.co.uk/2025/03/20/constituents-at-downing-street/ Thu, 20 Mar 2025 12:56:12 +0000 https://jakerichards.co.uk/?p=1596 Great to bring David Tomlinson, Sascha Biggin and Andy Tupholm to Downing Street yesterday.

Tomo wrote a fictional book about a group of miners trying to make it through the miners strike. Through the sale of his book and charity night he raised over £4,000 for Hopian. Hopian are a charity dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic abuse and sexual exploitation in Rotherham.

It was brilliant to see them and bring Maltby to the heart of government.
